Pakistan, July 31 -- Petrol prices are likely to see a whooping decrease in upcoming fortnightly review for August 2025. Sources said the federal government is expected to reduce petrol and diesel price by Rs9.07 and Rs3.73 per litre, respectively amid fluctuations in global oil prices. The news prices will come into effect from August 1 till 15. The anticipated cut in petroleum prices is also being attributed to strengthening rupee against the US dollar. Sources said the petrol price is likely to drop to Rs263.08 as compared to current rate of Rs272.16 per litre.
