Pakistan, July 9 -- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a four-team One-Day tournament scheduled for August as part of its preparations for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027. The competition will take place before the domestic first-class season and aims to identify a strong group of players capable of representing Pakistan on the global stage.

Director of High Performance Aaqib Javed said the national team has around 18 months before the World Cup, making this the right time to begin serious planning. He explained that the tournament will provide selectors and coaches with a competitive platform to evaluate Pakistan's leading white-ball cricketers under match conditions.
