Pakistan, Oct. 1 -- Passengers intervened after a co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain and attempted to crash a flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv, Israeli officials said.

Flight FZ1073 was travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv when a serious incident occurred inside the cockpit. The aircraft later made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the co-pilot stabbed the pilot before passengers and crew members entered the cockpit. They reportedly restrained him while other pilots brought the aircraft under control.

Flight-tracking data showed the aircraft rapidly descended by nearly 14,000 feet in less than 30 seconds. The...
