Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- A two-tonne shipment of Pakistani mangoes, the first to reach Xinjiang, China this year, has cleared customs and entered markets in Kashgar and Korla recently, adding fresh imported fruit supplies to the region, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Friday.
The mangoes entered Xinjiang through a land port between China and Pakistan and were inspected and released by customs authorities before reaching local markets.
To ensure the quality of fresh fruit during transportation, customs authorities introduced a dedicated clearance process, including advance coordination with enterprises, preparation guidance for declaration documents and communication with Pakistani customs on transport updates.
