Pakistan, Oct. 5 -- Pakistan has achieved a proud milestone in global cinema as Moklani - The Last Mohanas won the prestigious Jackson Wild Media Awards, often celebrated as the "Oscars of nature documentaries." The achievement marks the first time a Pakistani film has claimed this honor, standing out among over 500 international entries.

Directed and produced by Jawad Sharif, the film sheds light on the Mohana community of Manchar Lake, an indigenous fishing people whose centuries-old culture and traditions are disappearing under modern and environmental pressures. Their story has now reached global recognition through this award.
