Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- Pakistani film Wakhri has joined the South Asian Film Season 2026 organised by a British broadcaster. The season features nine films from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The film draws inspiration from the life of late Pakistani social media influencer Qandeel Baloch. It follows Noor Malik, a widowed schoolteacher who suddenly gains fame through social media.
