Pakistan, Aug. 18 -- Pakistan has assumed the presidency of the United Nations (UN) Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. The country took charge of the forum on Tuesday, according to the Foreign Office. Ambassador Tahir Hussain Andrabi is presiding over the conference on Pakistan's behalf. He serves as Additional Secretary for Arms Control and Disarmament at the Foreign Office. His role places Pakistan at the centre of important international security discussions.
