Pakistan, May 21 -- Pakistan cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the ODI series against Australia. Opener Saim Ayub and experienced batter Fakhar Zaman have been ruled out due to injuries. Moreover, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed both players are still not fully fit.

The PCB said both players are undergoing rehabilitation under the medical panel's supervision. It added that they will not be considered for selection in the three-match ODI series. Furthermore, the series is scheduled to begin on May 30 in Rawalpindi. The second and third ODIs will be played in Lahore on June 2 and June 4.
