Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- Pakistan's benchmark KSE-100 Index regained the 180,000-point level on Wednesday after strong buying lifted market sentiment.

The index rose more than 1,000 points during early trading, reaching 180,863 points. However, gains eased later in the session.

The KSE-100 Index ultimately closed at 180,311 points, recording a gain of 464 points during the trading session.

The recovery followed a sharp decline on the previous trading day. The index had fallen 1,463 points to close at 179,846 points.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's rebound restored the benchmark above a key psychological level for investors. Market movements continued to reflect changing investor sentiment.
