Pakistan, Sept. 14 -- Pakistan is intensifying diplomatic efforts to help end the ongoing Middle East conflict, Foreign Secretary Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said Monday. He said Islamabad supports a peaceful solution through dialogue and international mechanisms.

Speaking to Geo News, Ahmad said Pakistan was working for an immediate ceasefire and reduced tensions. He added that Islamabad wanted the conflicting parties to return to negotiations. According to him, international law and United Nations mechanisms should guide efforts to resolve the crisis.
