Pakistan, July 11 -- In a major development for Pakistan's startup sector, the government has inked a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Plug and Play Tech Center, one of Silicon Valley's leading startup innovation platforms, paving the way for the company to establish operations in Pakistan.

The development came during a meeting between Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, and Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of Plug and Play Tech Centre, to discuss opportunities for strengthening Pakistan's startup ecosystem and connecting its entrepreneurs with global innovation networks, read an official statement.
