Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund will begin economic review talks on September 23. The discussions will assess progress under Pakistan's ongoing IMF programme. A successful review could clear up to $1.2 billion in additional financing for Pakistan.
The IMF mission is expected to stay in Pakistan for about two weeks. Talks will examine economic performance through June 2026 and progress on structural targets. Both sides will also discuss tax reforms and changes in the power and gas sectors.
