Pakistan, July 17 -- Pakistan's information technology exports rose 21% to a record $4.6 billion during fiscal year 2025-26, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The strong performance reflects continued growth in the country's technology sector and digital economy. Government incentives and expanding freelancing activity helped drive the record-breaking export earnings.

The SBP said IT exports reached a new monthly high of $416 million in June 2026. Monthly exports increased 12% compared with May and 23% from June last year. The figures underline sustained momentum in Pakistan's software and IT-enabled services industry.
