Pakistan, July 22 -- Pakistan has begun exploring alternative crude oil import sources following concerns over the Strait of Hormuz and shipping disruptions in the Red Sea. The move aims to safeguard the country's energy security. Authorities are seeking uninterrupted fuel supplies amid regional tensions.
Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik convened an emergency meeting with chief executives and managing directors of the country's oil refineries. According to officials, the meeting reviewed the regional security situation linked to tensions involving the United States, Iran, and Yemen's Houthi movement. The minister directed refineries to identify alternative crude oil suppliers.
