Pakistan, Oct. 10 -- The inflow of overseas workers' remittances into Pakistan stood at $3.6 billion in September 2026, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data showed on Friday.

Remittances showed 12.7% increase on year-on-year basis from $3.2 billion recorded in September 2025.

Meanwhile, it recorded a 1.9% decrease on month-on-month basis from $3.7 billion in August 2026.

Cumulatively, workers' remittances increased by 14.74% during Jul-Sept FY27 to $10.9 billion, compared to $9.5 billion received during the same period last fiscal year.

Remittances play a significant role in supporting the country's external account, stimulating Pakistan's economic activity, and supplementing the disposable incomes of remittance-dependent households....
