Pakistan, Jan. 15 -- Pakistan reiterated on Thursday that it would not permit its territory or airspace to be used against Iran, as tensions continue to escalate in the broader Middle East. Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stressed Islamabad's commitment to regional peace and stability during a weekly briefing.

He said Pakistan was closely monitoring developments in Iran and sought a peaceful resolution to the emerging situation. "As a neighbouring, friendly and brotherly country, Pakistan wants a peaceful solution to the situation in Iran," he added, noting confidence in Iran's ability to navigate its challenges.
