Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- Pakistan Railways has been placed on high alert due to heavy rains and growing flood concerns across the country. The Ministry of Railways cancelled weekly holidays for staff and ordered emergency measures. Authorities aim to protect passengers and maintain train operations.

Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi directed railway officials to remain active in the field. He declared an emergency across all railway field offices. The minister ordered officials to monitor affected areas and respond quickly to disruptions.
