Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- Pakistan has launched a Rs90 million initiative aimed at protecting endangered sea turtles during shrimp trawling operations while enhancing the country's shrimp export potential. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry announced the project, which includes the free distribution and installation of Turtle Excluder Devices (TEDs) across the fishing fleet. The move demonstrates Pakistan's growing commitment to marine conservation and sustainable seafood practices in line with global standards.
