Pakistan, July 30 -- Pakistan has decided to extend the stay of around 16,000 Afghan nationals on humanitarian grounds. The decision covers women, children, and elderly Afghans residing in the country. Officials said the move reflects Pakistan's humanitarian commitments while immigration procedures continue.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi announced the decision during the weekly media briefing. He said no Afghan national holding a valid visa or travel document has been deported from Pakistan. Authorities continue processing immigration-related cases under existing procedures.
