Pakistan, Oct. 5 -- In a composed clarification to an international media report, Pakistan's military has dismissed suggestions that Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir proposed to the United States the construction of a port on the Arabian Sea, describing the account as "incorrect, speculative, and privately floated."

Recent rumours circulating on social media claimed that advisers to the Army Chief had encouraged Washington to invest in and operate a deep-sea port-possibly at Pasni-portraying it as part of Pakistan's effort to maintain diplomatic momentum with President Trump's administration after his mediation in the Pakistan-India ceasefire.
