Pakistan, April 30 -- Pakistan is in contact with the Somali government over the hostage situation involving Pakistani sailors held by pirates off the Somali coast. The Foreign Office said diplomatic efforts are underway to secure the safe release of the crew. The crisis has raised concerns over maritime security and regional shipping routes.

Officials said the situation remains fluid as negotiations and contacts continue with relevant parties. The ship's owner is also reportedly in communication with the attackers.
