Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- Five major Pakistani cities have ranked among the world's least resilient to climate disasters. Hyderabad, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi made the bottom 10. The findings come from an assessment covering 72 major cities worldwide.

Geospatial analytics company AlphaGeo examined climate exposure and cities' ability to withstand disasters. Hyderabad ranked second from the bottom, while Multan secured third place. Lahore ranked fifth, followed by Faisalabad in seventh place. Karachi stood eighth among the least resilient cities.

The assessment examined flooding, extreme heat, drought, wildfires and hurricane winds. Researchers also reviewed adaptation measures used to reduce climate-related damage. These include...
