ISLAMABAD, Aug. 21 -- Pakistan and Google have signed an agreement to expand digital transformation and innovation across the country. The memorandum of understanding was signed during a reception hosted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Under the agreement, Pakistani students will receive free access to advanced Google AI tools. The access will remain available for one year.
The partnership will also expand digital skills and information technology exports. Google plans to provide 150,000 Google Career Certificates in Pakistan during 2026. The two sides will also improve opportunities for students to use artificial intelligence. Moreover, they agreed to establish an AI centre of excellence in Islamabad.
