Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- Pakistan and Saudi Arabia celebrated their new joint defence agreement with Turkiye by displaying the three countries' national flags across major landmarks in Islamabad and Saudi cities. The Makkah Joint Defence Agreement was signed on Friday, establishing that an armed attack against one member would be treated as an attack against all. The agreement comes amid heightened regional tensions following months of conflict involving the United States and Iran. It also reflects growing defence cooperation between the three countries.
