Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Pakistan and Russia are working to launch their first two-way freight rail service connecting Moscow with Faisalabad and Karachi.

Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev said the project aims to establish regular cargo links between Russia and Pakistan. He shared the details during an interview with Russian newspaper Izvestia.

Khorev said implementation of the project was delayed several times during 2025 and early 2026. He attributed the delays to rising geopolitical tensions across the region.
