Pakistan, Aug. 31 -- Federal Energy Minister Owais Leghari has apologised to the public for electricity load-shedding during night hours. He said rising power demand forced authorities to manage the electricity load. The minister explained that gas shortages also affected power generation. He shared the details while speaking to the media in Islamabad.

Leghari said electricity demand increases significantly during the night. The higher demand required authorities to carry out load management, he explained. He acknowledged the inconvenience caused by power cuts and apologised to affected consumers. The minister also thanked citizens for their patience during the situation.
