Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- More than 89,000 applications have so far been received through the portal of the Punjab government's 'Apni Chhat, Mehfooz Chhat' programme, which is receiving widespread appreciation from citizens, a meeting of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning (PHATA) Governing Body was told.

The meeting, chaired by Housing and Urban Development Minister Bilal Yasin, reviewed PHATA's annual performance, future targets and progress on various housing initiatives. The body was also presented with PHATA's budget for the first time.
