Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- More than 4,000 police personnel will be deployed in Rawalpindi division to ensure security during the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections on August 2. Authorities have prepared a comprehensive security plan for the polling process.

According to regional police officials, 4,029 personnel will perform security duties across polling areas in Rawalpindi division. Regional Police Officer Babar Sarfraz Alpa said the arrangements aim to provide voters with a safe environment.
