Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Pakistan's opposition parties have retained their plan for a September 27 protest and long march, while seeking broader political participation.

The decision came during a joint parliamentary opposition meeting chaired by Mahmood Khan Achakzai in Islamabad. Senior opposition leaders attended the meeting.

The participants discussed the political situation, Imran Khan's health, Supreme Court orders and the opposition's future political strategy. They also expressed concern over Khan's treatment and health.

According to the meeting's declaration, opposition leaders accused the government of failing to implement Supreme Court directives. They said the alleged non-compliance required legal action.
