Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- North Korea has rejected South Korea's accusations over a border landmine blast. Pyongyang also threatened immediate and powerful counteraction against any territorial violation.

The warning came after South Korea blamed North Korea for a September 21 mine blast. Seoul said a joint investigation with the United Nations Command supported its claim. Scientific analysis also indicated that a North Korean anti-personnel mine caused the explosion.

Two South Korean soldiers were seriously wounded in the incident. North Korea's Foreign Ministry dismissed South Korea's investigation as a premeditated attempt to blame Pyongyang. It also described the findings as a serious provocation against North Korea.
