Pakistan, May 27 -- North Korea has carried out another ballistic missile test, increasing tensions in the region once again. According to South Korean military officials, the missile was launched from the western coastal city of Jongju. Moreover, the launch comes as international concern continues growing over North Korea's expanding weapons program.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said the missile traveled nearly 80 kilometers after launch. In addition, South Korean authorities reported that several other projectiles were also fired during the exercise. However, officials did not release further technical details about those launches.
