Pakistan, April 30 -- The federal government has announced a reduction in the processing time for normal passports, cutting the issuance period from 21 days to 14 days as part of efforts to improve public services.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, attended by senior officials including the federal secretary interior, director general of passports and immigration, and other relevant authorities.

Officials reviewed ongoing reforms in passport services and discussed measures aimed at increasing efficiency, transparency, and citizen convenience.
