Pakistan, May 8 -- Pakistan's Interior Ministry has rejected social media reports claiming that the United Arab Emirates is running a targeted deportation campaign against specific nationalities or sects. Officials termed the circulating claims as false and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information.

The ministry clarified that deportations from the UAE occur strictly due to violations of local laws. It said actions such as visa breaches or illegal documentation are the main reasons behind expulsions. Officials emphasized that there is no country- or sect-based policy involved.
