Pakistan, Sept. 6 -- The debate over creating new provinces in Pakistan is not a new one. For many years, the question has been raised at political rallies, in election manifestos, and during parliamentary discussions. Unfortunately, however, we have mostly viewed it through the lens of political interests. Some have turned it into an issue of votes, others of linguistic identity, and still others of regional politics. Yet, above all, this question needs to be examined from the perspective of ordinary citizens and their convenience.
