Pakistan, June 24 -- Gas production has started from newly discovered wells in Dhrki and Khairpur in Sindh. The development adds fresh volumes to Pakistan's energy supply system. The update is significant as the country continues to address ongoing energy demand and supply challenges.

According to Mari Energies, gas from the Shams-1 discovery in Dhrki has been injected into the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline network. The field is supplying around 30 million cubic feet of gas per day. The addition is expected to strengthen domestic gas availability.
