Pakistan, Sept. 24 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sharply shortened his upcoming New York visit. He is expected to stay in the United States for only a few hours before returning to Israel on Thursday.

Israeli media reported that security officials advised Netanyahu against staying overnight in New York. Channel 13 said recent security discussions included specific warnings. However, the reports did not disclose the nature of those warnings.
