Pakistan, Oct. 23 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cancelled all scheduled political campaign events on Friday following a shooting attack near Hebron. The incident wounded at least five Israelis and triggered a gunfight that left two Palestinian men dead near the Farsh al-Hawa checkpoint. Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed that security forces prevented a major terrorist disaster by eliminating the armed attackers at the scene. Consequently, the prime minister instructed military authorities to impose a strict lockdown on Hebron and enforce a complete closure of the West Bank.
