Pakistan, Sept. 11 -- Nepal has estimated that rebuilding after last month's deadly floods will cost around $4.78 billion. The disaster followed a glacial mountain collapse and killed more than 1,400 people. Thousands remain missing as rescue and recovery efforts continue.

Nepali Foreign Ministry spokesman Lok Bahadur Chhetri announced the estimated reconstruction requirement on Friday. He said around $57.67 million would support recovery during the next six months. Longer-term reconstruction is expected to require approximately $4.71 billion.
