Pakistan, Aug. 3 -- The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that water levels in major rivers across Pakistan are expected to rise from now until August 4, urging people to remain alert. The authority has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel to flood-affected areas as changing weather conditions could increase the risk of flooding in several regions.
According to the NDMA, high-level flooding has already been recorded in River Lehri at Head Gogi, while medium-level flooding has been reported in Nullah Palkhu at Wazirabad. Low-level flooding is also continuing at Kalabagh, Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur along the Indus River, as well as at Head Nari on the Nari River.
