Pakistan, June 5 -- The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a severe weather alert for several regions of Pakistan, warning of thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and potential flooding. The warning matters because hazardous weather could threaten public safety, infrastructure, and transportation networks. Residents, tourists, and local authorities in affected areas are expected to face the greatest impact.
According to the National Emergency Operations Centre, the alert covers parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir during the next 12 to 24 hours.
