Pakistan, April 23 -- The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a severe heatwave alert across Pakistan until May 5. The warning covers multiple regions, including Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan. Authorities have urged citizens to take precautionary measures to avoid heat-related illnesses.
The NDMA said several major cities will experience intense heat conditions. These include Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Bahawalpur. Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, and Turbat are also expected to face extreme temperatures. Officials warned that hot and dry conditions may persist for several days.
