Pakistan, July 23 -- ISLAMABAD - The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an urgent alert warning of floods and landslides due to continuous heavy monsoon rains across Pakistan. The advisory, valid until July 25, highlights rising risks in northern and central regions. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the NDMA to coordinate with provinces and speed up relief efforts to protect lives and property.

The NDMA cautioned about potential landslides and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) in areas such as Hunza, Booni, Reshun, and Ishkoman.
