The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a red alert warning of possible urban flooding in Islamabad and northern Punjab within the next few hours due to heavy rains. Authorities said torrential rainfall could hit these areas between two to six hours, urging residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during peak rainfall.

According to the alert from the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), the regions most at risk include Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and their adjoining areas. Local administrations have been advised to remain fully alert and prepare for immediate response in case of emergencies.
