Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- The National Assembly Secretariat has enforced additional austerity measures to reduce its operational expenses. Under the new arrangement, half of its employees will work from home. The measures also restrict vehicle purchases, travel spending, official events and other expenses.

According to the notification, 50% of employees will work from offices while 50% work remotely. Remote employees must remain available through telephone, email and WhatsApp during working hours. They must also reach the office within one hour when required.
