Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- US Charge d'Affaires Natalie A Baker congratulated Pakistanis on the country's 79th Independence Day, highlighting the longstanding partnership and close ties between the two nations.

In her message, Baker said the United States was among the first countries to recognise Pakistan's independence and had since developed an enduring relationship with Islamabad.

She noted that 2027 would mark the 80th anniversary of US-Pakistan relations, describing the upcoming milestone as an opportunity to reflect on decades of bilateral cooperation.
