Pakistan, June 9 -- The Anti-Terrorism Court at Central Jail Karachi on Tuesday extended the interim bail of actor Muneeb Butt in a kidnapping for ransom case registered by Airport Police. The actor appeared before the court during the hearing, after which the judge granted him continued legal protection while proceedings in the case move forward.

The case stems from a first information report filed on April 23 on the complaint of Mutal Khan. Investigators allege that Muneeb Butt was involved in the kidnapping of the complainant along with several other suspects. However, the allegations remain under investigation and no final determination has been made by the court.
