Pakistan, Aug. 13 -- The body of Pakistani climber Sohail Sakhi has been recovered from Broad Peak. Sakhi had gone missing after an avalanche struck the mountain earlier this month. Local volunteers from the Tasir area of Shigar found his body during a search operation. The recovery brings an end to a difficult search for the missing climber. The Alpine Club of Pakistan confirmed the recovery on Thursday.

According to the Alpine Club, local volunteers conducted the search independently. Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Bashir and Abuzar were among those who helped locate the body. The volunteers worked alongside Zaman and other team members during the recovery effort....
