LAKKI MARWAT, Jan. 20 -- Police, alongside counter-terrorism commandos, destroyed militant hideouts and sanctuaries in a major operation in the trans-river belt on Monday. The operation targeted remote rural areas under Dadiwala police station.

The action was conducted under the instructions of Bannu Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan as part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. Armed volunteers from local peace committees also participated, assisting law enforcement in locating and dismantling militant hideouts.
