Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Meta has launched Muse Glimmer, a new open-weight artificial intelligence model designed for agentic tasks and direct use on personal computers. The model is smaller than leading systems from rival AI companies and can reportedly operate on a Mac or PC using a single graphics card.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also called for fewer US restrictions on open-weight AI development, arguing that American companies need a more supportive policy environment. He said reducing regulatory barriers could help US developers compete with Chinese companies that are advancing rapidly in open-weight technology.
