Pakistan, July 27 -- For a fifth consecutive day, roads to several parts of Gilgit-Baltistan remained severed while the Pakistan Meteorological Department issued a fresh glacial lake outburst flood warning for the first week of August.

To add to the context, Gilgit-Baltistan has already recorded 89 flash floods, cloudbursts, and GLOFs during the ongoing monsoon. At least 130 houses have been destroyed, 20 bridges affected, and 18.2 kilometres of roads lost or impaired.
